  • Spatula
  • Measuring Spoons

Ingredients

Turkey Breakfast Sausage

  • 1 lb ground turkey 85–93% lean recommended
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika optional
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for spice
  • 1 tsp maple syrup optional, or brown sugar

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and gently mix until evenly distributed. Do not overmix.
  • Form the mixture into 6 evenly sized patties, about ½ inch thick.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the pan. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve immediately or let cool and refrigerate for up to 4 days. For meal prep, freeze cooked patties for up to 2 months.

Notes

For added moisture, use 85–93% lean turkey and avoid overcooking. Try flavor variations by adding fennel seeds, apple, or chopped herbs. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave for best results.
